This is The Octagon Room inside Flamsteed House on the top floor. As seen at Royal Observatory Greenwich.

It is one of the few surviving interiors by Sir Christopher Wren. Some astrominical work was done here, but it was built mainly ‘for pompe’, allowing important visitors to do some amateur observing in elegant surroundings.

A fine example of 17th-centhury domestic architecture. It was originally called ‘the Star Room’ or ‘Great Room’
