Pantone’s Colour of the Year: “Living Coral”

Last week, Pantone named colour 16-1546 ‘Living Coral’ as their Colour of the Year for 2019.  This warm, happy colour invokes visions of tropical reefs, summer days and sunsets.  It also fits hand-in-hand with the “under the sea” trend tipped to be huge next spring.

According to the Pantone Color Institute, Living Coral is a “vibrant, yet mellow colour”.  The company say the shade is “animating and life-affirming … with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge”.
