Budding engineers, designers and scientists are being invited to design the science laboratory of the future by Innova Design Solutions. The education furniture specialists will reward their favourite design with £20,000 of furniture for the winning entrant’s school science laboratories.
The ‘Design the Lab of the Future’ competition encourages secondary school children to imagine what the perfect school science lab of tomorrow will look like and submit their ideas. Innova Design Solution’s judging panel will then pick their favourite and reward the entrant’s school with £20,000 of science laboratory furniture.
The winning team will also be rewarded with a £1,000 cash prize (or £250 for a solo entrant). The judging panel are looking for designs rich in innovation, creative flair and originality – capable of supporting modern curriculums and benefitting students and teachers alike.
All entries must include sketches, photos or computer-generated visualisations of the design along with written rationale explaining the benefits and purposes of the design features.
The competition is open to all secondary school students aged 11 to 16, attending secondary school in England. The closing date for submission is 5pm on 27th February 2015.
