How To Make Your Bedroom Into A Love Nest

If you’re about to buy your first home as a couple, it will be important that you get the design elements right to ensure you live in the most comfortable and appealing property possible.

While there are a lot of articles out there that concentrate on the bedroom, I’ve not seen many aimed at young couples like yourselves, and so today it thought it might be useful if I wrote and published a short article highlighting some of the ways in which you can turn this room into a true love nest.

Who knows; at some point in the future you might both want to hear the patter of tiny feet, and so you need somewhere with the right atmosphere. Obviously, you don’t have to follow my suggestions to the letter, and you should try to adapt my ideas to suit your own personal tastes and preferences.

Before we get started though, I just want to spend some time explaining why I’m such an expert on this subject. At the age of 19, I bought my first home with my then girlfriend, and I did my best to ensure we had the best bedroom possible. However, my efforts were in vain, and so she had to show me exactly what women want to see in a love nest. Considering this, you know for a fact you can trust my advice. It has come directly from a lady who knew what she wanted.

Use Deep Red Colours

Some people like to paint their walls red, and while this does give the room a romantic atmosphere, most ladies would say it’s a little too overpowering. So, it’s nearly always better to use neutral colours on the walls, and deep red accessories like bedding and curtains etc.

Consider Alternative Lighting

Very rarely will you see a 100 watt bulb in a love nest, and there are obviously many different reasons for this. So, if you really want to create a mood that will incite your special one to go the extra mile, think about purchasing something less bright. Perhaps you could install a dimmer switch, or maybe it would be wise to buy a couple of lava lamps. It may have been a long time since I’ve had a love nest in my own home, but I still know how effective alternative lighting like this can be.

Luxury Flooring

While many people do find carpet to be more comfortable, you want your love nest to look as luxurious as possible, and so it’s usually wise to lay some hardwood flooring. Luckily, this isn’t as expensive as it used to be and so you won’t have to look far to get a good deal on your desired material.

So that’s about it for today then guys. Hopefully now you should be able to create an idyllic love nest that no right minded woman could resist. Just get yourself some joss sticks, and the rest will fall into place.

Have fun!
