One of Culture South West’s strategic priorities is to develop regional cultural data and intelligence. As the regional cultural consortium, Culture South West has a clear role in co-ordinating a regional cultural research programme that adds value to the work of regional cultural agencies, regional strategic organisations and other partners.

Culture South West convenes and supports the South West Cultural Sector Research Group.

The Culture Module incorporates the agency's strategic research functions. It focuses on building and supporting a regional evidence base and is a partnership between Culture South West, the region's cultural agencies and South West Observatory.

Finding the Dots is Culture South West’s quarterly research e-bulletin which aims to inform and update the region’s cultural sector on research developments.
